Episode 13: Naxos and Greek Ferries

Listen here, or now on iTunes and Stitcher

Our first stop on our Greek islands tour was Naxos. We stayed at – and loved – Naxos Dream Studios, which is just about on Agios Georgios Beach. We used Booking.com to reserve all our hotels for the trip. Use this link for $20 toward your own booking.

Restaurants: Scirocco, Meze Meze, Meltemi, Waffle House (for ice cream), Rendezvous (coffee and pastries)

Megan’s preferred island reading, for better or worse, was Lonesome Dove, recommended by the ladies at the I Feel Better podcast.

NaxosSailing.com took us to Koufonisia Island and Rina Cave.

Portara, the beginning of an ancient temple built for Apollo

Navigating the ferries of Greece

The Greek Island ferries are a great way to get around the islands. We used Let’s Ferry to find ferry times for planning purposes, but waited to buy tickets until the night before from the ticket offices near the port – or online.
